Location

Elements of Sicilian history and old traditions can be noticed in the Failla Mansion, an extra reason why a visit to Modica should not be missed. Not only did this town fascinate poets and travellers in the past but still today it represents one of the most precious pearls of Sicily. The Failla Mansion is located in Upper Modica, a few metres from S. George Church and the Castle of the Counts. Both can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, as you walk along the street you will notice the steps, which are particularly characteristic of the town. Modica’s 100 spectacular churches and its baroque monuments are not the only attractions you can visit. Not far from Modica you will find the town of Scicli, dominated by the enormous church of San Matteo, and Ragusa Ibla which, is the heart of many artistic masterpieces; characterized by a coast with thin safari sand.
