Thanks to the skillful restoration of an ancient 1800’s farmhouse, Michelin starred La Fenice restaurant offers an elegant, comfortable atmosphere just outside Ragusa. Large glass walls expose open views of the sprawling green park of Hotel Villa Carlotta. Wood and steel blend together warmth and modernity in a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere.

The cellar

The cellar is the restaurant's treasure chest

Elegant and mysterious, the winery appears, the gentle guardian of over a thousand labels including prestigious and sought after champagnes, sparkling wines, French reds, wines produced and bottled in many Italian regions and many labels that represent Sicily are the choice of beverages that is offered in combination with kitchen dishes. Marco Muriana manages this underground world.

Luca Gulino is the young Sicilian chef who, with enthusiasm and desire to experiment, has been leading the 1-star Michelin restaurant La Fenice in Villa Carlotta since 2021. Luca has spent the last ten years traveling around the world, touching six different countries, and working in some of the most famous restaurants in northern Europe.
A real challenge is to return to Italy, in the deep south of Sicily. Return to where he took his first steps as a young student and experience the thrill of a kitchen to be conducted and managed independently, inspired by international contamination and strong of the fruits of a generous land that offers seasonal raw materials at the top of taste and flavor .
