The restaurant is just outside the town of Lampedusa, near one of our island's most ravishing bays: Cala Croce.
Our dishes offer a constant search for balanced flavours, with a mix of traditional and local ingredients enhanced by an exotic twist.

This international approach running through our dishes, paired with wines from our Diapason collection, allows you to travel from Italy's southernmost island and discover Sicily as well as faraway lands.


Diapason - our cellar

The perfect pairing of two great passions: wine and music

Diapason is a space created in 2021, a vaulted cellar where Giuseppe Costa keeps his collection of about 800 labels and some rare bottles. The cellar contains his two greatest passions: music and wine.
He sees Diapason as a place without borders, a way to travel even without leaving Lampedusa, and wants visitors to the cellar to feel so, too.
Giuseppe personally picked each wine after visiting the producers and their wineries. About a quarter of the labels there speaks of Sicily. Then we can find some from France (Giuseppe turned out to be a great lover of Champagne and some rare bottles of Chablis and Bordeaux), a section dedicated to natural wines and one with the best national and international wines.
This eclectic list satisfies classic palates through timeless labels and arouses guests' curiosity by offering a tasting experience beyond traditional boundaries through new and unexpected wines.

Chef Patron of the Cavalluccio Marino restaurant in Lampedusa, Giovanna has always worked in the family business. She worked with the waiting staff for a short time and then indulged her passion in the kitchen alongside her mother, learning the secrets of traditional Lampedusan cuisine. Chef Giovanna Billeci is deeply attached to her roots, so much so that each of her creations is a symphony merging tradition, innovation, love, balance and attention to detail.

After graduating in piano from the Turin Conservatory, Giuseppe Costa returned to Lampedusa and is now the Owner and Manager of the Hotel Cavalluccio Marino in Lampedusa. He manages the restaurant, but you can also meet him in the dining area, where he will help you pick the best wine pairing for your food favourites.
